What is the fence for

Most people start with a material. Start with the job instead and the shortlist gets a lot shorter.

9 fence types · tap what the fence is actually for and the list shortens

Cedar privacy, 6 ft

Western red cedar pickets on galvanized steel posts. The San Antonio standard, and what most HOAs expect to see.

from $34/ft

Board on board cedar, 8 ft

Overlapped pickets with no shrinkage gaps in year two. Taller line for corner lots and pool decks that back onto a road.

from $42/ft

Horizontal cedar

Wide boards run sideways on a steel frame. The one people photograph, and the one the HOA usually asks to see a sample of.

from $46/ft

Ornamental iron, spear top

Welded panels, powder coated black, racked on site so the line follows your grade instead of stepping down it.

from $58/ft

Flat top iron, pool code

Four foot minimum, 4 inch picket spacing, self-closing and self-latching gate. We build to the county sheet, not to a guess.

from $52/ft

Galvanized chain link

Cheapest way to hold a yard. Top rail, tension wire at the bottom, and a dig guard if you have a determined dog.

from $19/ft

Black vinyl coated chain link

Same fence, coated mesh and posts. It disappears against the treeline, which is why acreage lots keep asking for it.

from $26/ft

Vinyl privacy panel

Never stain it, never replace a warped picket. Costs more than cedar up front and outlasts two cedar fences.

from $42/ft

Automatic drive gates

Slide and swing gates with solar operators, keypad, and a phone opener the whole family can use. Retrofits onto an existing fence line.

from $4,200 installed

Standard picket line · included

Linear feet 160 ft

A quarter acre lot usually runs 180 to 240 feet. Pace it out, we will measure it properly on site.

Gates

Walk gates at $525 each, framed in steel.

Installed range

$5,550 to $6,700

160 ft of cedar, side by side · 1 gate · $34.00 per foot

Prices assume standard soil, machine-dug post holes and a line we can get a trailer near. Solid rock, steep fall or a tear-out over a retaining wall gets priced on site, in front of you.

How a fence goes in

Walk the line

We wheel the run, check the fall, mark the gates and call in the utility locate. You get the per-foot number before we leave the driveway.

Set the posts

Holes machine-dug two feet down, deeper on gates, and hand-cut where the caliche wins. Posts plumbed, set in concrete and left overnight before anything hangs on them.

Hang, string and clean up

Rails, pickets and gates, good side facing the street unless you tell us otherwise. Old fence hauled off, magnet run for screws, gate swing checked with you standing there.

The fine print, up front

3 year workmanship warranty

Leaning post, sagging gate or a rail that pulled loose. We come back and fix it, which is not the same as the material warranty from the manufacturer.

HOA paperwork handled

Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch and most Schertz neighborhoods have a spec sheet. We pull it, match the stain and get the good-side rule right the first time.

Deposit at the schedule, not the handshake

Twenty five percent when we lock your build week, balance when the last gate is hung and you have walked it with the crew lead.

Financing on runs over $4,000

Twelve to sixty months through a third party lender. Applied for after the site visit, once you know the real number.

On the fence line

Two hundred feet of cedar in two days. The line is dead straight past the pool and the gate closes itself softly.Hector · Alamo Ranch
Fixed the lean from the March storm and matched the old stain so well you cannot find the new posts.Beth · Converse
They read the HOA sheet before I did. Iron went in at pool code and the inspector passed it without a second visit.Priya · Stone Oak

Measured and quoted in one visit

We wheel the line, talk materials and leave you a per-foot price on the spot. Most fences start inside two weeks, gates and all.
